Garland of Questions (2022)

Framed photographic transfers on cotton rag paper, 8x10.

In "Garland of Questions" Mathis uses archetypal figures from the tarot to explore the many layers of selfhood and the creative process.

The series was created in the UC Berkeley Art Practice Honors program, and featured in the accompanying “Forgiving the Forgotten” show at Worth Ryder gallery.
